It is hard to focus on one task and keep doing it for a long period of time. Few people can do that, and those who do are often very successful.
For those of us who aren’t lucky enough to be born with the ability to laser-focus on tasks, we need to find a solution that works for us.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I function better when I have a few interesting tasks going on simultaneously. I do not mean multitasking, no, that is the death of productivity.
I mean having the possibility to switch from one task to another, tasks that are somewhat relevant but somewhat different. As an architect, I like working on several projects so I can dedicate portions of the workday to two or three plans. And switch between the two once or twice a day, depending on the difficulty of the problems.
So why did I start this blog with this post?
For a long time, I wanted a website where I could share my work and thoughts, a platform to test and improve my writing skills as I go.
Social media is not for me.
Though 2026 is the age of social media.
Blogging is like going back to the Stone Age of the early 2000s, but I don’t care. I feel that is a good place for me.
So I started not one, not two, but three websites at the same time. Will I stick to all of them? Don’t know, I would like to.
This website is planned to house my general hobbies and interests, including professional ones. Here I want to write about things that catch my interest, something new or well-forgotten old. A place where someone could get more or less information about me, who I am, and what I stand for, if anybody at all would want to.
My other two websites are both related to architecture: one is an architectural blog, and the other is my money-making site, where I sell house plans and architectural services. I think these three websites would capture a big part of who I am and help me keep my focus fresh and alive
I won’t publish them here until I know they are up and running.
For you, I want to say thanks for reading this post and any other post on this site. I hope I can provide real value and make up for the time you’ve spent here.
Until the next post, see you there!
